But the latest IPCC report has introduced novel \u201aattribution\u2018 statistics and now insists that things are getting worse. It\u2019s yet another case of scientists trying to scare the public into compliance.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><br>Dr Alexander\u2019s paper looks at:<br>\u2013 droughts<br>\u2013 floods<br>\u2013 hurricanes<br>\u2013 tornadoes<br>\u2013 wildfires<br>\u2013 hot and cold extremes<br>\u2013 coral bleaching.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><br>He concludes that:<br>&#8220;The mistaken belief that weather extremes are worsening because of climate change is more a perception, fostered by media coverage, than reality. The IPCC\u2019s new statistical method is playing an unworthy part in bringing this sorry state of affairs to pass.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><br>GWPF invited the Royal Society and the Met Office to review this paper, and to submit a response to be published as an appendix to it. No reply was received.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a
