from 60F to snow in a matter of hours.<\/mark><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cold temperatures will be the main story this weekend, reports&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.actionnews5.com\/2022\/02\/10\/first-alert-an-arctic-blast-this-weekend-with-look-your-super-bowl-forecast\/\">actionnews5.com<\/a>, who provide the following Southern California, that Super Bowl 2022 could turn out to be hottest on record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, rather than being evidence of \u2018catastrophic anthropogenic global heating\u2019, this will be the result of&nbsp;<em>1)&nbsp;<\/em>Super Bowl being held in t<em>he Golden State<\/em>, duh, and&nbsp;<em>2)<\/em>&nbsp;the fact that a weak and wavy&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/electroverse.net\/recap-the-changing-jet-stream-and-global-cooling\/\">meridional jet stream flow<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013the result of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/electroverse.net\/grand-solar-minimum-101-the-future-looks-cold\/\">historically low solar activity<\/a>\u2014 has effectively separated the Lower 48 into two halves, drawing record heat up from the Tropics on one side, and dragging record cold down from the Arctic on the other:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a EVA!\u2019<\/em>&nbsp;just know that this weekend\u2019s climatic setup is a function of the jet stream, not man\u2019s irrelevant CO2 excretions. A setup clearly demonstrated by the pretty<em>&nbsp;reds&nbsp;<\/em>&amp;&nbsp;<em>blues<\/em>&nbsp;above.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"looking-further-ahead\"><strong>Looking Further Ahead<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additional bouts of polar cold are set to engulf larger portions of the U.S. as February continues. And with regards to\u00a0<strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">temperatures<\/mark><\/em><\/strong>, the agency\u2019s (UHI-skewed) dataset reveals that\u00a0<em>two\u00a0<\/em>all-time temperature records have been busted thus far, both for record cold.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"south-american-crop-losses-mount\"><strong>South American Crop Losses Mount<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"argentina-s-corn-output-estimates-cut-to-51-million-mt-bage\"><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>Argentina\u2019s corn output estimates cut to 51 million mt<\/strong>.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the sowing of the corn area complete, the Buenos Aires Grains Exchange (BAGE) has cut its projection for corn production in Argentina to 51 million mt, down a whopping 6 million mt from the previous forecast, according to a recent update.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reduction reflects the results of the harvest of the first early lots from the center of the national agricultural area, in which yields were below initial expectations due to cold and drought. \u201cRainfall for the remainder of February will be key to sustaining this volume,\u201d BAGE stated in its weekly report, suggesting that the 51 million mt estimate could be revised down further.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Argentinian Soybeans also down<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last week, BAGE reduced Argentina\u2019s soybean estimates to 42 million mt, due to the ongoing drought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The country planted 16.3 million hectares, 300,000 hectares less than last year.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">And finally, Paraguay was heard to have booked its first ever order of Argentine soybeans in an unprecedented move amid sharp La Nina-related crop losses, trade sources told Agricensus Tuesday.<\/mark><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis is the first ever time [that Paraguay has imported soybeans from Argentina] \u2026 the situation is very difficult over there,\u201d a South American trade source told Agricensus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paraguay is the fourth larger soybean exporter in the world, but the country has been severely hit by unseasonable blasts of cold and severe droughts over the past two seasons, the result of La Nina conditions, with the latest blast badly impacting the nation\u2019s 2021\/22 soybean crop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt is a very unusual situation,\u201d soybean analyst at Brazil\u2019s Agrinvest Commodities Eduardo Vanin said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cParaguay has been having a hard time to honor soybean contracts,\u201d head of the Latam grains sales desk at HedgePoint Global Maria Sol Arcidi\u00e1cono told Agricensus. \u201cSoybean crop losses are estimated at 50% in the country, and from the 50% that have been harvested, some 75% is under bad quality conditions \u2026 they need something to blend in order to increase quality,\u201d added Arcidi\u00e1cono.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>See also:<br><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-electroverse wp-block-embed-electroverse wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"sHHdHn1My8\"><a href=\"https:\/\/electroverse.net\/a-catalog-of-crop-failures\/\">A Catalog of Crop Failures<\/a><\/blockquote><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute;
