But when solar activity is&nbsp;LOW, such as it is now, that meandering band of air&nbsp;flowing 6 miles above our heads becomes&nbsp;weak and wavy, it effectively&nbsp;buckles&nbsp;which diverts frigid Polar air to atypically&nbsp;low&nbsp;latitudes and replaces it with warmer tropical air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The jet stream reverts from a<strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">\u00a0Zonal Flow\u00a0<\/mark><\/em><\/strong>to a\u00a0<strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Meridional Flow<\/mark><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and, depending on which side of the jet stream you\u2019re on, you\u2019re either in for a spell of unseasonably cold or hot weather and\/or a period of unusually dry or wet conditions \u2014 it just so happens that boundary is currently cutting down the middle of the CONUS:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.tropicaltidbits.com\/analysis\/models\/gfs\/2021123100\/gfs_T2ma_namer_7.png?ssl=1\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.tropicaltidbits.com\/analysis\/models\/gfs\/2021123100\/gfs_T2ma_namer_7.png?w=640&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/a><figcaption>GFS 2m Temperature Anomalies (C) Jan 1 [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tropicaltidbits.com\/\">tropicaltidbits.com<\/a>]<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><em>This&nbsp;<\/em>is the true mechanism behind the U.S.\u2019s, and indeed the planet\u2019s, growing temperature contrasts, rather than the&nbsp;<em>benign&nbsp;<\/em>increase of atmospheric CO2\u2013with the latter gaining such traction in the MSM, I suspect, due to it being a key component of The Great Reset: the plot to reform society in the interest of the few, to \u2018build back better\u2019 for the elites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Look to the lack of investment in fossil fuels over the past few decades, at how out of favor this crucial commodity has fallen; look at the shortages and record energy prices currently gripping every developed corner of the planet, hurting the purse strings of everyday families. Before you can \u2018build back\u2019 you need a collapse, and this is what\u2019s being orchestrated now \u2014 it appears those on high intend for us to take each other out in the form of civil war\u2013the best answer to which is to start getting along; to find common ground; to reject ideological groupthink; to realize that there is no Left vs Right, rather there are&nbsp;<em>simple beings<\/em>&nbsp;with complex emotions and crippling confusion, forever bumping into walls of depression in search of meaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Left vs Right is itself a construct \u2014 one which serves<em>&nbsp;the system<\/em>, not we the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Turning our attention back to the weather (ha!), in a further blow to the AGW Party, the anomalous cold looks set to prevail \u2014 low temperature records will be challenged across the CONUS, and indeed across Canada and Alaska, and even Mexico, too:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/electroverse.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/gfs_T2ma_namer_fh36-384.gif?ssl=1\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/electroverse.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/gfs_T2ma_namer_fh36-384.gif?resize=640%2C399&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29962\"\/><\/a><figcaption>GFS 2m Temperature Anomalies (C) Jan 1 \u2013 Jan 16 [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tropicaltidbits.com\/\">tropicaltidbits.com<\/a>]<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"record-cold-and-snow-hit-alaska\"><br><strong>Record Cold And Snow Hit Alaska<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em style=\"\"><mark style=\"background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><b>\u201cAlaska\u00a0\u2018Icemageddon\u2019\u00a0warning\u201d, is how\u00a0<\/b><a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/world-us-canada-59820999\">the BBC<\/a><b>\u00a0puts i<\/b><\/mark><\/em><strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">t, so you know it must be bloody cold\u2026<\/mark><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The BBC article begins with record warmth (the\u00a0<strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">19.4C (66.9F<\/mark><\/em>)<\/strong>\u00a0logged on Kodiak Island, Sunday: AGW hypothesis intact), but as discussed above, AGW can\u2019t in any way, shape, or form explain the historic cold gripping a much larger portion of the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the south-eastern town of Ketchikan, for example, temperatures dropped to<strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">\u00a0-18C (-0.4F)<\/mark><\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>on December 25 &amp; 26 \u2014 the town\u2019s coldest Christmas period of the past century+, with the old records being the -14.4C (6F) in 1967, and the -15C (5F) from 1917.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The extreme freeze prompted warnings of an \u201cIcemageddon\u201d from authorities, continues the BBC article, as torrents of rain and snow have left ice as hard as cement coating the roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIce is extremely difficult to remove once it has binded to the road surface. So much fell on Sunday that it caved in the roof of the only grocery shop in the town of Delta Junction, 95 miles (153km) south-east of Fairbanks. The previous all-time record of 3,792 MW set four years ago to the day, on Dec 29, 2017 \u2014 and SaskPower says the new increase (of 76 MW) represents the electricity required to power some 76,000 homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Homing in on the records, some sixteen communities across Saskatchewan experienced record low temperatures on Tuesday alone. Furthermore, many of the busted benchmarks were truly historic, including Regina\u2019s\u00a0<em>moose-hugging<\/em>\u00a0low of<strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">\u00a0-38.6C (-37.5F)<\/mark><\/em><\/strong>, which beat out the all-time record of -37.2C (-35F) set in 1884(!); Swift Current\u2019s<strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">\u00a0-39.1C (-38.4F)<\/mark><\/em><\/strong>, which bested 1917\u2019s -36.1C (-33F); and Leader\u2019s crippling<strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">\u00a0-42.6C (-44.7F)<\/mark><\/em><\/strong>, which smashed the previous record of -37.2C (-35F), set back in 1924.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Environment Canada have an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/weather.gc.ca\/warnings\/index_e.html?prov=sk\">extreme cold weather alert<\/a>&nbsp;in place for much of the province, forecasting an extended period of dangerous temperatures; as a result, their&nbsp;meteorologists have urged people to take \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/thestarphoenix.com\/news\/local-news\/do-not-take-it-lightly-environment-canada-forecasts-extreme-cold-for-remainder-of-2021\">extraordinary precautions<\/a>\u201c, while SaskPower have asked folks to be self-sufficient for at least 72 hours: with water, non-perishable food, a flashlights, a clock and radio, a first aid kit, blankets, and also a copy of Al Gore\u2019s book&nbsp;<em>\u201cOur Choice\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;and Greta Thunberg\u2019s&nbsp;<em>\u201cNo One Is Too Small To Make A Difference\u201d<\/em>\u2013you know, to burn\u2026<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;<strong>COLD TIMES<\/strong>&nbsp;are returning, the mid-latitudes are&nbsp;<strong>REFREEZING<\/strong>&nbsp;in line with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/electroverse.net\/solar-activity-just-reached-a-new-space-age-low\/\">historically low solar activity<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/electroverse.net\/cosmic-rays-reach-record-highs-as-solar-activity-nears-space-age-low\/\">cloud-nucleating Cosmic Rays<\/a>, and a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/electroverse.net\/recap-the-changing-jet-stream-and-global-cooling\/\">meridional jet stream flow<\/a>&nbsp;(among many other forcings, including the impending release of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/electroverse.net\/the-arctics-ticking-climate-bomb-little-ice-age-imminent\/\">the Beaufort Gyre<\/a>).<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Prepare accordingly<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014&nbsp;learn the facts, relocate if need be and&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/electroverse.net\/category\/grow-your-own\/\">grow your own<\/a><\/strong>.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Social Media channels are restricting Electroverse\u2019s reach: Twitter are purging followers while Facebook are labeling posts as \u201cfalse\u201d and have slapped-on crippling page restrictions.
