However, this is not maybe as eventful as it sounds, given that September 1729, 1795 and 1865 were warmer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There were a couple of hot days, the 7th and 8th, when CET maximums&nbsp; reached 28.3 and 28.2C respectively. However these temperatures were well below the 31.0 and 31.3C set on successive days in 1906:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\"
