This is the NOAA daily temperature data for the US.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/climatescience.press\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/0Jun-Aug-Average-Maximum-Temperature-Vs-Year-1895-2021-At-All-US-Historical-Climatology-Network-Stations-Red-Line-Is-5-Year-Mean-Average-Maximum-Temperature-vs-Year-1024x901-1.png?w=723&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-154573\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"ftp:\/\/ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov\/pub\/data\/ghcn\/daily\/ghcnd_hcn.tar.gz\">ftp:\/\/ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov\/pub\/data\/ghcn\/daily\/ghcnd_hcn.tar.gz<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their raw monthly data set is nearly identical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/climatescience.press\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/0Jun-Aug-USHCN-RAW-MEASURED-TMAX-Vs-Year-1895-2021-At-All-US-Historical-Climatology-Network-Stations-Red-Line-Is-5-Year-Mean-USHCN-RAW-MEASURED-TMAX-vs-Year-1024x901-1.png?w=723&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-154575\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"ftp:\/\/ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov\/pub\/data\/ushcn\/v2.5\/ushcn.tmax.latest.raw.tar.gz\">ftp:\/\/ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov\/pub\/data\/ushcn\/v2.5\/ushcn.tmax.latest.raw.tar.gz<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Time of Observation Bias adjusted data is not much different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/climatescience.press\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/00Jun-Aug-USHCN-TOB-ADJUSTED-TMAX-Vs-Year-1895-2021-At-All-US-Historical-Climatology-Network-Stations-Red-Line-Is-5-Year-Mean-USHCN-TOB-ADJUSTED-TMAX-vs-Year-1024x901-1.png?w=723&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-154576\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"ftp:\/\/ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov\/pub\/data\/ushcn\/v2.5\/ushcn.tmax.latest.tob.tar.gz\">ftp:\/\/ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov\/pub\/data\/ushcn\/v2.5\/ushcn.tmax.latest.tob.tar.gz<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the final adjusted data set shows a strong warming trend over the past fifty years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/climatescience.press\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/0-Jun-Aug-USHCN-FINAL-ADJUSTED-TMAX-Vs-Year-1895-2021-At-All-US-Historical-Climatology-Network-Stations-Red-Line-Is-5-Year-Mean-USHCN-FINAL-ADJUSTED-TMAX-vs-Year-1024x901-1.png?w=723&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-154577\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"ftp:\/\/ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov\/pub\/data\/ushcn\/v2.5\/ushcn.tmax.latest.tob.tar.gz\">ftp:\/\/ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov\/pub\/data\/ushcn\/v2.5\/ushcn.tmax.latest.tob.tar.gz<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The final data set has diverged from the measured data by almost two degrees over the past forty years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/climatescience.press\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/0Jun-Aug-USHCN-FINAL-MINUS-RAW-TMAX-Vs-Year-1920-2020-At-All-US-Historical-Climatology-Network-Stations-USHCN-FINAL-MINUS-RAW-TMAX-vs-Year-1024x901-1.png?w=723&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-154579\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This warming trend since 1970 does not exist in the thermometer data, so where does it come from?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/realclimatescience.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Jun-Aug-USHCN-FINAL-ADJUSTED-TMAX-Vs-Year-1920-2020-At-All-US-Historical-Climatology-Network-Stations-Red-Line-Is-10-Year-Mean-USHCN-FINAL-ADJUSTED-TMAX-vs-Year.png?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"636\" width=\"723\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/realclimatescience.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Jun-Aug-USHCN-FINAL-ADJUSTED-TMAX-Vs-Year-1920-2020-At-All-US-Historical-Climatology-Network-Stations-Red-Line-Is-10-Year-Mean-USHCN-FINAL-ADJUSTED-TMAX-vs-Year-1024x901.png?resize=723%2C636&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-67387\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There has been a large decrease in the number of stations reporting data over the past 30 years.
