It may be mid-summer, but a polar invasion is forecast to blast much of the United States this weekend.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

By sunrise Saturday, the mercury is expected to tumble into the 40s (sub 10C) across much of\u00a0Upstate New York<\/span><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 such readings would break\u00a0or at least near<\/em>\u00a0all-time low-temperature records for the final day of July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The city of\u00a0Binghamton\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/strong>is forecast to reach\u00a047F (8.3C)<\/span><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and usurp its previous July 31 benchmark by a full 2 degrees Fahrenheit, according to National Weather Service (NWS) data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other nearby cities could be on the brink of a cold record, too:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Syracuse\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/strong>is expected to reach\u00a050F (10C)<\/span><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 just 2F off the old record set in way back in 1965 (solar minimum of cycle 19).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And\u00a0Albany\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/strong>also has a chance of breaking it\u2019s July 31 low of\u00a049F (9.4C)<\/span><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The entire Northeast is incredibly cold right now, and records have already <\/em>been tumbling: according to coolwx.com<\/a>, a total of 9 daily low temperature records fell across the region over the past 24 hours alone:

This Northeast being so frigid right now is explained, paradoxically, by the West being hot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Accuweather meteorologist Paul Walker, the \u201cheat dome\u201d parked above the West and western Plains is halting the normal flow of warm air from west to east across the country; basically, polar air from Canada is able to \u2018slip around\u2019 the heat dome and slide into the NE: \u201cThat has brought down cooler-than-normal air for Upstate New York,\u201d added Walker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This chilly setup has been around a number of days now, and it is expected to extend into next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There has been much made of Upstate New York\u2019s warmer-than-average July, but putting it into perspective,\u00a0Binghamton\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/strong>toasty summer -so far- doesn\u2019t even see it enter the\u00a0top 20<\/em>, while\u00a0Buffalo\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/strong>is only on for its\u00a0ninth\u00a0<\/em>warmest July \u2014 these are hardly signs of the AGW catastrophe the MSM is always so keen to associate with any reading above average.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And now, as highlighted above, we have record summer COLD invading the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Such chills are typical of early October, not late July\u2013 and they aren\u2019t just confined to the Northeast either, far from it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

South Dakota<\/span><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0was forecast temperature departures 20C below the average overnight Friday (see GFS run below), meaning cold records will almost certainly have tumbled here, too:

And looking elsewhere, and further ahead, the majority of the CONUS can expect below average lows well into next month\u2026

\u2026this is in spite the official Climate Prediction Center<\/a> calling for a \u201cwarmer than normal\u201d August:

However, NOAA are among the biggest warm-mongers<\/em> on the planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They claim EVERY month is going to be hotter than average.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember their call for February, 2021? It was supposed to be warmer than normal across the CONUS; but in reality, the U.S. went on to suffer its coldest Feb since 1989, millions lost power, and a total\u00a0702 people died<\/a>\u00a0in Texas alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
